Bringing a new challenge to the boys at Bruern!

I was very happy to return to a STEM challenge today after so many months of inactivity. A safe and socially-distanced plan of action was in place and it promised to be a lovely day outside. Sofia and I set up six MTa kits in the school tennis court, spaced apart, and by the end of the day we had taken over 80 students through the challenge.
Bruern Abbey School is an independent school for boys aged 8-13 and as you can see above, the backdrop for our day was gorgeous. Each class was split into teams, such that there was no crossover of students or kit parts between them. Sofia and I had a demonstration kit that was kept to one side and we used this to show off how the kit could be assembled.
With this challenge we emphasised team work and imagination, and we tried our best to ensure everyone in a team had something to contribute. The feedback we got from both students and teachers was very positive. The boys clearly enjoyed an opportunity to problem solve and apply logical thinking in a hands-on way.
Sofia and I had a great day, and we want to take this opportunity to thank the teachers and the students at Bruern for making us feel welcome at their school. We're looking forward to returning soon to deliver more challenges.
